What is needed for a minor to obtain a marriage license?

Minor must be at least 17 years of age.  The older party to the marriage is no more than 2 years older than the youngest party.  The minor needs to provide a certified copy of their birth certificate, valid government ID, and written consent of both parents or guardian.  If unable to obtain signature of both parents, you must provide substantial evidence as to why.  This would include a death certificate, court order of sole custody by one parent, court ordered emancipation or proof of abandonment or letter from DCF.  Please contact our customer service department at 386-326-7680 with any further questions.
