How do I apply for a marriage license, what is the cost, who may officiate and where can I get married?

You apply in our customer service department M-F 8:30am-4:30pm.  Both parties must be present with a valid state ID.  There is 3 day waiting period unless you both are out of state residents or if you have completed a 4 hour marriage preparation course within the last 12 months with a registered provided with our county.  A certificate of completion of course must be provided.  If either party has previously been married, they will need to know the date that the last marriage ended.  The license is valid for 60 days.  The Cost is $86.00 without preparation course certificate and is $61.00 if you provide a certificate.  If either party is under 18 years of age, please contact our office at 386-326-7680.

Any person that is licensed to perform a marriage ceremony may officiate.

Your marriage license is only good in the State of Florida.  We offer to do a ceremony for a $30 fee.
