If a  cash bond was posted, Florida Statute 939.17, authorizes the Clerk under the direction of the Court, to deduct any court fines and costs from the cash bond.  Once your case is disposed, any fines and/or costs will be paid by the cash bond and the balance remaining, if any, will be refunded to the depositor.  However, if you fail to appear for any scheduled court appearance, the cash bond will be forfeited per Florida Statute Chapter 903.
